Havoline Football Saturdays in the South Spotlights Alabama Legend Bart Starr, Virginia Head Coach Mike London and Road Trip Joining the
Clemson Cheerleading Squad
Charlotte, N.C. – Raycom Sports’ multi-Emmy Award-winning summer television series, “Havoline Football Saturdays in the South,” continues its ninth season this weekend. The series, with six one-hour episodes, is syndicated in 77 markets throughout the country.
This week’s show features host Tim Brando sitting down for an in-depth interview with NFL Hall of Famer and former Alabama quarterback, Bart Starr. See why the H.S. All-American changed his mind from playing at Kentucky to Alabama and how the 199th player taken in the 1956 NFL Draft became a legend at Green Bay and in the NFL.
We then spend time with the 2011 ACC Coach of the Year, Mike London of Virginia. Before he stepped on the sidelines, London was a police officer and detective in the street crimes division in Richmond. We head back to Richmond with London to hear the night that changed his life when he was staring down the barrel of a gun.
Finally, Tommy Kane and the Road Trip crew get put through the paces with the Clemson Tigers cheerleading squad. See the preparation and work that goes into promoting school spirit on the sidelines.
